12月26日下午，由湛江市外事局主办的聚焦“六个湛江”凝聚外智促发展外籍人士座谈会成功举办。驻湛高校及有关机构外籍教师代表、湛江市外语人才库代表、外事志愿者代表以及市商务、文广旅体、投资促进等部门代表齐聚一堂，围绕湛江高水平对外开放和高质量发展建言献策。

On the afternoon of December 26,Zhanjiang Foreign Affairs Bureau hosted a symposium,gatheringforeign friends’insights to drive“Six Zhanjiang” development goals. The event brought together foreign faculty from local universities, representatives from Zhanjiang Foreign Language Talent Pool, internationalvolunteers, and officials from Zhanjiang Bureau of Commerce, Zhanjiang Bureau of Culture, Media, Tourism and Sports and Zhanjiang Investment Promotion Bureau. Together, they discussed strategies for Zhanjiang’s high-level opening-up and high-quality development.

　　座谈会由湛江市外事局副局长王标主持。会议伊始，与会嘉宾共同观看湛江城市形象宣传片，直观感受湛江向海而兴、开放包容的发展气质。

The symposium was presided over by Mr.Wang Biao, Deputy Director of Zhanjiang Foreign Affairs Bureau. The session opened with a promotional video showcasing Zhanjiang’s urban image, allowing guests to visually experience the city’s spirit of “thriving by the sea” and its open, inclusive character.

　　相关部门与会代表围绕湛江市对外交流合作、文旅产业发展及对外招商引资情况作简要介绍，从经贸往来、文化旅游、投资环境等多个维度，系统展示了湛江推进高水平对外开放的良好态势。

Representatives from key government departments provided briefings on Zhanjiang’sinternational exchange and cooperation, cultural tourism development, and foreign investment promotion. They presented a comprehensive view of the city’s momentum in high-level opening-up across trade, tourism, and investment environment.

　　市商务局副局长王艳向外籍朋友提出期望，希望能积极发挥对外联系桥梁作用，邀请商协会来湛开展合作，为湛江外经贸发展提出更多宝贵意见。湛江市文广旅体局副局长陈晨介绍湛江文旅发展情况，指出湛江正立足“三鲜三美”资源禀赋，持续擦亮“鲜美湛江”文旅品牌，建设高水平滨海度假旅游目的地。湛江市投资促进局副局长陈章雄介绍，湛江多形式开展外资招商，推动一批项目增资扩产，希望得到外籍专家的指导支持。

Ms. Wang Yan, Deputy Director of Zhanjiang Bureau of Commerce, expressed her hope that foreign residents would act as bridges for external connection. She encouraged them to invite business associations to Zhanjiang for cooperation and to offer valuable insights for the city’s foreign trade development.

Ms. Chen Chen, Deputy Director of Zhanjiang Bureau of Culture, Media, Tourism and Sports, introduced the city’s tourism landscape. She highlighted that Zhanjiang is leveraging its unique “Three Freshness and Three Beauties”resources to polish “Fresh Zhanjiang”brand and build a high-level coastal resort destination.

Mr. Chen Zhangxiong, Deputy Director of Zhanjiang Investment Promotion Bureau, noted that Zhanjiang is adopting diverse methods to attract foreign investment and is driving the expansion of existing projects. He invited foreign experts to offer their guidance and support in this area.

Ms. Wang Dunyan, Director of Zhanjiang Foreign Affairs Bureau, briefed the attendees on the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee. She outlined the city’s future direction and key measures in the context of “Six Zhanjiang”development goals. She expressed hope that this exchange would help foreign residents better understand China’s institutional advantages and Zhanjiang’s development prospects, thereby strengthening their confidence in building a future here.

　　来自埃及的岭南师范学院外籍教师阿迈德博士围绕“推动湛江高质量发展与对外开放”主题，分享了对城市提升国际化水平、优化对外交流机制的思考；来自南非的岭南师范学院外籍教师沙浓从个人成长和职业发展经历出发，讲述选择湛江、扎根湛江的原因，并就如何进一步激发城市发展潜力、增强对国际人才的吸引力提出建议；来自韩国的广东海洋大学副教授李志行则立足工作和生活体验，作了题为《OTT平台时代湛江市城市形象传播与知名度提升路径研究》的专题发言，提出通过新媒体平台提升湛江国际传播力和城市影响力的具体思路。

Dr. Ahmed (Egypt), a faculty member at Lingnan Normal University, spoke on “Promoting High-Quality Development and Opennessin Zhanjiang.” He shared his thoughts on elevating the city’s international profile and optimizing mechanisms for external exchange.

Mr.Shannon (South Africa), also from Lingnan Normal University, shared hispersonal journey of choosing and taking root in Zhanjiang. Heoffered suggestions on how to further unlock the city’s development potential and enhance its appeal to international talent.

Associate Professor Lee Jihaeng (Republic ofKorea) from Guangdong Ocean University delivered a presentation titled Research on Zhanjiang’s UrbanImage Communication and Visibility Enhancement Pathsin the OTT Platform Era. He proposed specific strategies for utilizing new media and streaming platforms to boost Zhanjiang’s international communication capacity and urban influence.

Following the presentations, attendees engaged in a lively and collegial interactive session, exchanging views on topics such as urban openness, international cooperation, and cultural tourism promotion.

　　会议最后，市外事局局长王敦滟作总结讲话，对外籍友人长期以来关心支持湛江发展、积极参与对外交流合作表示感谢。她表示，希望广大外籍人士继续发挥沟通中外的桥梁纽带作用，向世界讲好湛江故事、传播湛江声音，助力湛江在更高水平对外开放中实现高质量发展。

In concluding remarks, Director Wang Dunyan thanked the international friends for their long-term support and active participation in Zhanjiang’s development. She encouraged them to continue serving as vital links between Zhanjiang and the world, telling the city’s story and amplifying its voice to support high-quality development through higher-level opening-up.

　　此次座谈会不仅搭建了外籍友人深度参与湛江发展的交流平台，也为凝聚国际智慧、拓展对外开放合作注入了新动能。随着“六个湛江”建设不断深入推进，湛江正以更加开放、自信、包容的姿态，拥抱世界、走向未来。

This symposium not only established a platform for foreign residents to deeply engage in Zhanjiang’s development but also injected new momentum into the city’s efforts to pool international wisdom and expand cooperation. As the construction of “Six Zhanjiang”continues to deepen, Zhanjiang is embracing the world and moving towards the future with a more open, confident, and inclusive posture.
