大 美 湖 光 岩

　　在中国湛江市郊西南的一片郁郁葱葱中，掩映着一顷碧波，她宛若一只碧眼，仰视苍穹。风从亿万年前吹来，身临其境，恍若穿越时空……湖光岩便是这样一处神秘而秀丽的存在。

　　十多万年前的某个瞬间，火山爆发，岩浆喷出，四围成山。当火山的热情退去，只留下清冷的火山口。年复一年，历尽时光……在大自然的魔幻之手下，一片晶莹澄澈的湖泊慢慢涌现。那湖不同于一般的湖泊，旱不涸，涝不溢，永远一副纯净安详的模样。

　　这，就是湖光岩的玛珥湖。

　　神秘的玛珥湖，有着令人沉醉的百变之美。

　　烟雨空濛之中，她神秘莫测，浪漫至极；雨后初霁，她清新脱俗，天然无饰，宛若出浴美人；夕阳晚照，波光潋滟，红霞浸染，像极一幅渔舟唱晚的油画。

　　有人给湖光岩“湖光镜月”之美誉。它像一面镜子，纤尘不染，映照天地万物。

　　从望海楼远眺，水天一色，绿水悠悠，镜湖之美，尽收眼底。仿佛神仙的一滴泪，遗落凡间，只为掩藏水火最初的遇见；又宛如水火的一场爱恋，曾惊艳了时光，激荡了灵魂！

　　湖光岩有多神秘，至今也没有人能说得清。万年的落花飞叶消失在湖面、无影无踪，它们去了哪里？是否，龙鱼和神龟像传说那样，曾现身湖面？那深深的湖底，是否连通着远方的洞庭湖？

　　湖光岩，总能勾起人们胸中万千浪漫与诗意。单是那一湖碧水，本身就是一首韵味隽永的诗。千百年来，多少文人墨客，但凡稍稍驻足，莫不流连于此，从而留下吉光片羽，闪耀人寰。

　　有人来此得到心灵的涤荡，写下：“眼从云水光中洗，身寄烟林静处留”；有人感慨于湖光岩的神奇：“沉岩无地起楼台，镜月湖光一片开”；有人为楞严寺妙笔题佳联：“湖水苍茫，客到路从花外问；岩山寂历，僧归门向月中敲”。就“湖光岩”这个芳名而言，也是取自“湖光岩影”这一意象，湖、光、岩、影，相映成辉。镌刻在高高石岩上“湖光岩”三个大字，是宋朝丞相李纲被贬途经雷州所题，虽历尽千年，风雨不蚀。

　　古人云：“水不在深，有龙则灵。”

　　湖光岩，灵气动人。它的诞生被人们渲染出另一番神秘：白牛用自己的生命净化了一湖碧水，湖水之清澈由此而来；湖光岩大门口的石龟，因为天天凝神静听楞严寺僧人的诵经声，听得出神，竟修炼成一只灵龟，终日守望在湖边。

　　人间苦难多，爱情路上的痴男怨女，常常来此寻找慰藉。据说，湖中时常浮现的一双金鲤鱼，正是一对为爱殉情的青年男女，他们凄美的爱情故事在民间久久流传。湖光岩，这一世外桃源，犹如一只天碗，盛满春夏流年带来的绝美馈赠。飞花落叶，生命留痕，层层叠叠埋入湖底，经年累月，这些沉积物，便是时光的年鉴——它们忠实记录地球十几万年演变过程。

　　人们视湖光岩为“打开地球迷宫的一把钥匙”。走进火山博物馆，人们仿佛乘上时光机，回到地球的久远岁月，探索宇宙奥秘，发现生命之神奇。每年学生们成群结队来此探幽访古，为古老玛珥湖更添几许朝气。

　　手掬一捧湖水，洗去一身凡尘。远古的清冽，现今的清新，扑面而来。风影从耳边温柔拂过，深吸一口醉人的空气，这种甚嚣尘外的风景，常常令人忘记，今夕是何夕！

　　湖光岩像是地球的一只眼睛，一眼十数万年地凝视寰宇，不分昼夜看着太阳与月亮，星辰与大海……仿佛，时间在这里才有了永恒的意味。“羡宇宙之无穷，哀吾生之须臾”，比之玛珥湖的存在，人的生命或许只是刹那芳华的绽放，正是因为人生苦短，才要我们倾尽一生，活出精彩！

　　今日湖光岩，古朴清幽中多了现代气息。周末，邀上一家老小或三五好友，沿湖散步，氧吧慢跑，湖畔小憩……或是坐上那一身鲜艳的观光小火车，环湖而过，走走停停，更有一份景致。

　　茂密的树林间、绿绿的草坪上，有人随音乐起舞、有人在湖滨漫步、有人泡上一壶香茶，偶尔一阵欢歌笑语，撒入波光中，碎了那一波波山岩的倒影、美得像流动的彩画，太美了……千年古寺香烟缭绕，却不再是避世之所而承载的红尘哀怨，而已是人们的祈福圣地。科普馆，初入只觉自己是人间凡夫，归来仿佛已历尽寰宇，神游万仞……

　　啊，湖光岩，曾经的水火激荡留下你美丽的传奇。

　　啊，神奇的玛珥湖，坚挺的石岩刻下你岁月的沧桑。

　　啊，湖光岩，你是人间奇迹，大美湖光岩！

Lake Guangyan, A Great Beauty

In the lush southwest of Zhanjiang, China, there is an expanse of blue waves. The lake looks up at the sky like a blue eye while the wind, from hundreds of millions of years ago, blows as if through time and space... Such is Huguangyan, or the Cliff of Beautiful Lake, a mysterious and beautiful place.

At an instant more than tens of thousands of years ago, a volcano erupted spewing out a large amount of lava, which piled up into a mountain. After the volcanic eruption stopped, a cold crater was left. Year after year, under the magic of time and nature, a crystal-clear lake slowly emerged, which is different from ordinary lakes. It never dries up in drought, nor overflows when it is flooded, always looking pure and peaceful.

This is the Maar Lake in Huguangyan, a mysterious Lake that has an intoxicating beauty of changes.

Amidst the misty rain, the lake is mysterious and romantic; after the rain, she is fresh, refined, and natural without decoration, just like a bathing beauty. The setting sun shines in the evening, the waves are shimmering, and the rosy clouds lingering in the sky which looks like an oil painting of fishing boats singing in the evening.

Some people dubbed Huguangyan as the “Lake of Moonlight”. It is like a mirror, spotless, reflecting all things in the world.

Overlooking from the sea tower, the water and the sky are the same, the blue water is expensive, and the beauty of the lake of moonlight can be seen at a glance. Like a drop of tears from an immortal, it is left on earth to conceal the initial encounter of water and fire; It is like a love of fire and water, which once amazed and stirred the soul of the people!

No one can tell how mysterious Huguangyan is. Ten thousand years of falling flowers and flying leaves disappeared on the lake without a trace. Where did they go? Did the dragon fish and the tortoise ever appeared on the lake as the legend has it? Is the deep bottom of the lake connected to the distant Dongting Lake?

Huguangyan always evokes romance and thousands of poetic lines in people's hearts. The lake alone is a poem with a lasting charm. For thousands of years, many writers have lingered here, Leave beautiful poems that spread all over the world.

One poet came here to get the cleansing of the soul and wrote: “bathing in the light of clouds and water, I enjoy being in a quiet place in the woods”.

Another exalted the magic of Huguangyan: “high towers spring up from the sinking rocks, and the lake of moonlight sheds its splendor around”.

A third one wrote a beautiful couplet for the Lengyan Temple: "the lake is vast, and a guest asks his way to flowers; the monk returns, knocking his door under the moonlight”. As far as the name "Huguangyan" is concerned, it is derived from the shadows of the lake and rocks. The Lake, light, rocks and shadows reflect each other into brilliance. The word "Huguangyan" engraved on the high rock was written by Li Gang, the Prime Minister of the Song Dynasty, who was demoted to Leizhou. Although it has lasted for thousands of years, the word has not been eroded by wind and rain.

The ancients said: "the water, though not deep, has a spirit so long as it has dragons in it."

Huguangyan has an aura. Its birth was endowed with another mystery by people: a white cow purified the clear water of the lake with its own life. The stone turtle at the gate of Huguangyan is attentively listening to the chanting of the monks of Langyan Temple every day. He is so absorbed that he has cultivated himself into a supernatural turtle and keeps watch by the lake all day.

There are many sufferings in the world. Men and women in love often come here to find comfort. It is said that the pair of golden carps that often appear in the lake is a couple of young man and woman who died for love. Their sad and beautiful love story has been circulating among the people for a long time.

Huguangyan, a paradise, is like a heavenly bowl full of beautiful gifts brought by the fleeting years of spring and summer. Flying flowers and fallen leaves, traces of life were buried in the bottom of the lake. Over the years, these sediments represent passage of time - they faithfully record the evolution of the earth over thousands of years.

People regard Huguangyan as “a key to open the labyrinth of the earth”. Entering the Volcanic Pavilion, one seems to take a time machine to return to the ancient years of the earth to explore the mysteries of the universe and discover the magic of life. Every year, students come here in groups to explore the past times, adding a little vitality to the ancient Maar Lake.

Hold a handful of lake water in your hand to wash away the dust. The freshness of ancient times and of today come to my face. The breeze blows gently in my ear and I take a deep breath of intoxicating air. This kind of scenery outside the noisy world is unforgotten. What night is tonight!

Huguangyan is like an eye of the earth, gazing at the world for tens of thousands of years and looking at the sun and moon, stars and the sea day and night... It seems that time has eternal meaning here. “Admire the infinity of the universe and mourn the moment of my life”. Compared with the Maar Lake, human life may only bloom in a moment. It is precisely because life is short that we have to live a wonderful life!

Today, the quiet Huguangyan has acquired a modern flavor. At the weekend, one can invite his family or his friends, old or young, to take a walk along the lake, jog in the oxygen bar, and take a rest by the lake... Or hop on the colorful sightseeing train to run around the lake and have a better view.

In the dense woods and green lawns, some people dance to music, some walk along the lake, and still others make a pot of fragrant tea, so that occasionally a burst of laughter are scattered into the waves, breaking the reflections of the mountains and rocks, which is as beautiful as color paintings. The beautiful millennium-old temple is surrounded by fragrant incense, but it is no longer a refuge, but a holy land for people to pray. When I first entered the science museum, I only felt that I was a mortal on earth. When I returned home, it seemed that I had wandered all over the world. 

Alas, Huguangyan, you are a beautiful legend created by surging water and fire

Alas, the magical Maar Lake, the vicissitudes of your years have been engraved on the strong rocks.

Alas, Huguangyan, you are a miracle and great beauty in the world!
